From the Presidents
Presidents Message
Co Presidents-Judy Addis and Jane Wierenga
The Tri Cities Republican Women’s Club (TCRWC), is a pro-active political force in Washington State. Our purpose is to help elected Republican candidates and to work for their campaigns. We promote and inform the electorate through political education and activity. We foster loyalty to the Republican Party and help promote its principles and ideals.
Our organization is affiliated with the Washington Federation of Republican Women (WFRW),and National Federation of Republican Women(NFRW). The NFRW is the largest women’s political organization in the country. All members of TCRWC receive correspondence through the newsletter and magazine from these originations as well as our own newsletter and blog (tricitiesrwc.blogspot.com/). We work closely with the other Tri Cities Republican organizations to support events such as the Lincoln Day Dinner, the County Fair booth, the Pancake breakfast, and the Republican Picnic.
We meet most months on the 4th Monday of the month with dinner at Tony Romas at 6pm followed by a program at 7pm. Some of the guest speakers at our programs this past year have been, Patrick McBurney who spoke about 2010 mid term elections, Brenda Chilton spoke about election fraud, Mike Fox spoke about Cap and Trade, Matt Manweller spoke about being a conservative in academia. Several times a year we have updates from our State Senator and our State Representatives.
We support candidates with our funds and also support a Dictionary Program for Third graders.
We would welcome you to attend a meeting and program. If you would like to join TCRWC contact membership chair Anna Kane at 737-0633 or by email, am.kane@charter.com.

Health Care Bill
At the June Meeting the decision was made to focus on Health Care as our first issue.
As usual the Dems will try to rush this insidious bill to a vote before anyone has a chance to read it. The only way to defeat this bill is to prevail on the Blue Dog Dems leadership to vote against it and encourage the rest of the Blue Dogs to do the same. We must also encourage the GOP leadership to make sure the GOP hang together to defeat this thing. Cap and Trade passed with only 7 votes. Call the following Congressmen when they return on July 7th and tell them to vote against HR2252.IH. Here are their phone numbers, they all start with 202 225. Sandlin 2801, Hill 5315, Melancon 4031 Shuler 6401. Also call GOP Leader John Boehner 6205 and Whip Eric Canter 2815. Washington State Congressmen, Doc Hasting 5816, Dave Reichert 7761, Cathy McMorris 7005. If you want to see what is in this bill (s0 far) or you want to contact other legislators go: http://www.clerk.house.gov/ this is the easiest way to find what you want.
Because the Dems now have a super majority in the Senate the GOP have no power, they can't even filibuster. However we should still do what we can to defeat S966.IS. Contact Senators Murray Tel: 202 224 2621 and Cantwell Tel:202 224 3441.
